About
At Tapissière de la Bastide, my passion is preserving the stories embedded within every piece of furniture. A traditional upholsterer with a commitment to craftsmanship, history, and authenticity. With years of experience and a dedication to traditional techniques, I transform furniture into lasting heirlooms for future generations.
My workshop is set in a charming, half-timbered building from the 13th century, in the heart of one of the first bastide towns in SW France. Here, I primarily use natural materials—jute, cotton, horsehair, and linen twine—to ensure every piece is restored with care and respect for its original character. I specialize in antique and vintage furniture, using time-honored methods that prioritize both sustainability and quality.

Whether it’s a contemporary footstool, or a centuries-old armchair, my goal is to enhance its comfort and beauty while maintaining its heritage. Every piece tells a story, and my work is about continuing that story with integrity, ensuring it remains a cherished part of your home for many years to come.
